Purpose

  • Bring awareness to support grief and bereavement to aid in future mental health disorder mitigations.
  • Bring public awareness to grief, bereavement, and mental health in light of COVID-19.
  • Educational opportunities for funding organizations and policy makers to understand grief, bereavement, and mental health and how hospices can support this.

Groups for Discussion and Recommendations:

  • Interdisciplinary Care Team
    • i.e. physicians, registered nurses, volunteers, licensed practical nurses, doulas, chaplains, and spiritual leaders
  • Caregivers and Patients
  • Funders, Policy Makers, and Senior Stakeholders
    • i.e . hospice senior leads, palliative care leads, non profit and other organization executives
